Pulses are very
important in a balanced diet due to their nutritional values. They have a
fundamental role with its high-protein protein source, and essential nutrients,
in addition to low-fat content. The drier benefits do not contain cholesterol.
It is recommended that they be included in the diets of people suffering from
diabetes and heart disease. Mung beans are a great source of nutrients:
magnesium, potassium, manganese, zinc, copper and various B vitamins. This is
also a very abundant food, high in resistant starch and dietary fiber. These
are used in the form of dry powder, such as raw beans such as split beans and
also sprouted beans. The dry seed can be eaten raw, fermented, cooked or
ground. Due to its high nutrient density, mung beans are also considered useful
in defending against several chronic diseases related to aging, which include
heart disease, obesity, diabetes and cancer.
In Chinese cooking,
mung beans are used to make water with sugar. Also in China, cooked and shelled
beans are used as stuffing of sticky rice dumplings that are eaten during the
dragon boat festival. Beans can also be cooked until soft, mixed in liquid,
sweetened and served as a beverage, popular in many parts of China. In
Indonesia, they become a popular dessert snack. In Hong Kong, mung beans and
mung paste are transformed into ice cream or frozen ice cream.
The Mung harvest is
widely grown in a large number of countries. In Pakistan it is cultivated twice
in a year; the first time during the month of February and the second time in
June and July, because it is economically valuable for the trainers.

NM-92, AEM-96, NM-98, Chakwal Mung-97, Karak Mung -1, Ramzan-2005, NM-2006, Chakwal

All the truths are
not equally adequate to be calvadas in different areas to have an adequate
development. For this purpose, the selection of suitable seeds and growth
monitering are essential.
After selecting the
proper truth of mung beans for better production, the following steps should be
carefully followed: land selection, land preparation, fertilizer application,
planting method, seed treatment, weed control, insect pests and adequate
